Frank has been fairly quiet since receiving his cab. I'm taking that as a very good sign of things to come for the rest of us.

Ha... well... I can't say I am playing any more then I have. It's already an insane amount of time. I was up at 3am playing in my office before I went back to sleep..

I think you will be pretty happy with the XiTone. I am on my third one now, my first powered one... and it's all I need. Not to say that the CLRs I have had... three of those as well, were bad. They were also excellent. .I just find the tone from the XiTone to better suit me. :thumb:

To describe it I would say this. compared to the CLR it has a tighter bottom end and smoother, less harsh highs.

Granted, I only have a Xitone 2x12 and 1 Atomic CLR 1x12, but I wouldn't say less Harsh, as I don't find the CLR's highs harsh, but less forward or present on the xitone which CAN be heard as less harsh on presets etc with harsh highs.

I think it comes down to the listening distance. The CLR has the horn which can be beaming with a high-end

That could be it. Clr has a pretty wide spread. My xitone when used as 2x12 does too. But each speaker is less spread than the clr. And the space and air from a 2x12 , ahhhhhhh. I actually think a clr 2x12 wouldnt work as well as a xitone because of that design

Got around to trying the new MBritt Profile pack. Wow... There's a Metropoulos 2203 profile that sounds amazing.

These look majorly cool and would seem to pair well with a Happy Kemper Skin... my toaster was feeling a need for tweed and clicked the buy button all by itself...

Have you guys tried to new spring reverb in the beta Firmware? It only fits certain genres but it sounds pretty awesome I think. Combined it with a rockerverb profile and got some great dirty blues tones

I have tried them. They sound very good, very realistic to my ears. I have heard clips of other guys getting some great use out of them. However, I am not a big FX guy and don't claim to be an expert on verbs, so take my opinion for what it's worth.
