Damn nice! Love the natural way these age.
Just spent the last hour or so reading and drooling over these fantastic guitars in this thread, absolutely amazing work to the guy behind them, I can only dream of ever owning something as beautiful as these guitars, I have to make do with my MIJ Tokai LS80Q from 04.
Beautiful top on this one.
That almost looks double stained
Love it !!
corr what a thread, these guitars are insane! I'm afraid I am going to be that guy, but are these guitars still being made? I appreciate that names are kept under tabs and that's fine
I don't want to muddy the waters but this link belong here, for posterity's sake.
look at that! The grad scheme I'm about to start offers a large interest free loan, I think watching these threads will make me end up taking the loan and spending it on one of these!
are those OTPG pickups discontinued? Wonder what they're like compared to SD pickups
You cannot get OTPG PU's anymore..............only second hand now.
There are a multitude of great options available for PU's............& you do not have to spend USD800 - 1,200 to buy them.
OX4, Rewind, Wizz, ECP, Throbak, Tyson Tone etc. etc.
Don't get hung up on all the hype. Use your ears.
............nope, you are going to get your studies over & done with & then worry about getting a nice Replica. Good luck with your studies.
Thanks haha you're right! I always need a kick up the arse when it comes to studying, never thought I'd find it on an LP forum
however, the guy in question does take on builds still...right? I hear he's in the Midlands, which is where I'm studying, would be a real shame to not explore that avenue now
is that a western maple top?
Ah didn't see this reply before, cheers! Yeah you're right, I have some completely unknown pickupw on my precision for example and they nail John Entwistle. All in the player of course
This is maybe my all time favourite Italian Job!
Rudi, will get back to your e-mail this week- apologies for the delay, hope you're good!
I don't know I'm afraid. It's a 2001-2002 guitar, and could be for sale in the near future.
This is how the Dorset Burst is settling in.
Always good to see another. This one is only a couple of weeks old... yet another outstanding instrument from two licks.
