yep, it seems to be fine
Thanks for the welcome. Supposed to pick it up 2-3 hours from now. I am pretty excited. It will be my third Epi Les Paul, of four. The fourth is a Dillion Korean Quilt top. The serial looked legit to me once I saw it, and thanks for the second opinion.
Again, I'm not the expert here, so wait for a response by paruwi. He knows his stuff! But my eyes do see one sign of fake. This guitar appears to have a serial number starting with the oversized "EE".
Which one ?
I was referring to the link posted by Miguelio. From what I know, the rest of the guitar looked good to me, but the "EE" in the serial number looked a little large to me. I don't seem to have a way to pan in on the pic, so I yield to your opinion.
All cleaned up and sounding like a million bucks with a new set of DR Pure Blues, thanks again for the expertise/reassurance. Pickups are Epiphone, wire colors look right, A500K and B500K full size pots, not Sct on the setup sticker. The body is good too, has a cap with two different wood colors in the pickup pockets. Pickup rings are three different thicknesses. Too many things about it say Epi to me for it to be a fake.
Yes, I apologize for raising the possibility of fake. But the EE in the serial number looked large on my computer image and I couldn't zoom in for a closer look. I'm a very cautious guy when it comes to the fake issue.
But the main thing is that paruwi is THE expert on such matters, and I'd lay my money down based on his opinion. So congrats on a great guitar. Your choice of DR Pure Blues strings is spot on. And welcome to MLP!
No need for an apology. I'd rather know for sure than be offended, haha. I put Pure Blues on nearly every guitar I own. If not them, then Elixir's. These do have a really interesting sound when the middle pickup is running, don't they? I need to do a photo shoot with my Firebird VII, hehe.
reported a bunch of times, still up..
and reported to Gibson
thank you :9
I have been in contact with CS at Finn.no , told them this is not acceptable. and I called Bs on their arguments..like,they needed more documentation..oh christ..I told them to simply have a look at the real gibson les paul customs that are for sale at their webpages.. let`s hope, they do something, now !!
Dont want to put it in the thread, but the give-a-way is too obvious.
Hi guys , I need your help , I'm going to buy a Epiphone Les Paul Standard for Lefties . I'm not so sure if that LP is legit. Check the images please .
Wait for paruwi to respond, as he is the real expert here. But I am a bit concerned about the size of th "EE" in the serial number. But don't believe me, believe paruwi..
Okay , thank you ...
Hi, welcome here
it looks good to my eyes
Ok thank you guys , Thanks a lot , btw does that mean its not fake right ?
Yes, it looks legit
I've reported this pos twice and given damned good reasons why it's a fake.
Gibson disagrees. Apparent'y it is acceptable for guitars to share a serial number.
Please report if you feel so inclined.
