The guitar seems legit,
made Dec 2009 at the korean Unsung-factory
21=factorycode = Unsung, Korea
Thanks for the help. I was a bit weary with regards to the pictures people posted warning about the 'H' position and also the position of the pots.
keyword still is 'it seems'
more pics will help to make a clearer decision on it
Unfortunately these are all I could get. Seller is currently on vacation.
But he tells me he got it from a dealer, though didn't mention which one.
Doesn't really proove if it is 100% legit
we know korean Epis made by OEM factories always can be 'different'
that's why the label could be not exactly like it is on MiC Epis, which are made in their own plants
the requested pics will help to make better calls
Quick update, asked the guy for more pictures of inside the cover plates, his reply was sorry cannot give anymore pictures but if you want to buy it you can have it half the price. Sounds a little iffy. Also will not let me go look at it, will only send via courier. So that pretty much made my mind up. Many thanks for all the tips though, will continue my search for a genuine one.
Hi guys, just wondered if anyone can tell me if this '98 Epiphone les Paul is genuine, the thing that's making me question is it looks like it has a join on the neck and the back of the guitar some of the grain is in a different direction to the rest. The guitar itself does look gorgeous but if it's fake it's fake. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help.
Looks legit to my eyes
The scarfjoint is how they're usually made
Thank you for the reply, so the grain in the back of the guitar is normal aswell?
Yes, I don't see anything wrong with it
Hey Everyone, I'm new to the guitar community and inexperienced when it comes to spotting out the fake etc etc.. I've considered purchasing this Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO online, just wondering if it's legit
here @ MLP
Don't worry, the guitar looks absolute legit
So, even though you're going to "do the right thing" (as you see it), you don't have any qualms about throwing it back into the pool, where someone is more likely than not to get bitten by it?
You use the resources of this forum to help you avoid getting taken by a fake, but you're going to put it right back out there so someone else will be.
The least you could do is destroy the counterfeit logo before releasing it back into the wild.
Hey guys, I saw this Zakk Wylde LP on Ebay and I am wondering if its real
Thanks in advance for your help !
Since you guys are experts on this stuff. Check out these 2. One of them is apparently an Ace F signature. Funny thing is this guy had a similar looking guitar up earlier this month and he was asking for $150, he said it was a fake, now he has this one up and it's really damn expensive..I hope it's not the same one?
The Epi is legit
and I think the Gibson is fine, too
what about this one ??
