I have a 2003 Epiphone Les Paul Standard and I want to check whether it's real or a fake.
    Here are the details:
Your guitar was made at the
    Unsung Plant, Korea
    July 2003
    Production Number: 2833

    The serial number is: U03072833

    Here are the photos:

Sorry about the quality of the photos, by the way.
I really hope that my guitar isn't a fake.
I got the guitar from Bonners Music Store, in Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK, a reputable and trusted dealer but, fake's are coming up everywhere so I just want to check.

Its one of the new ones with no plant identifier in the serial, which is why it didnt come up. Its good.

Probably just a new junior, not familiar with those models.

I dont know a lot about the Juniors, perhaps someone can add some experience to this.
I think you can trust the guy, though. It looks like all his other items are from estate sales or something, high quality stuff by the looks.

I'm assuming its real because I don't think people would really waste their time making fakes of cheap guitars..

Personally, I have never even heard of a Junior being faked, but then theres a first time for everything, and I just dont want to staple a firm "real" on that one unless I know for sure. That wouldnt be right for you, or the seller.
