Gibson original 1960 Les Paul – the Dutchburst - Max Guitar Store
I wonder what it's worth on today's market?
One of my favorites.
I didn't see the asking price posted...I'm sure I can afford it.
Please forgive me and truly it's none of my business...but why, oh why sell?
That's a keeper....but it's his business....and maybe that's just it....it's business?
Don't post here very often but...............
I would kill for that guitar.
Whoa... I thought you were talking about The Duchess for a minute
$265K!!! i guess all the promo/fuzz around it + CC run isn't innocent
ok its a great burst... but $265K!!! :-/
Edit: Id kill for it too (specially since I can't pay $265K lol)
That may just be the most beautiful 'burst finish in the universe!!! Some days it just really sucks being broke...........
Skinny neck... not even if I could.
If you had $30,000,000, $265K is really not that much
I think it's my least favourite late 50's les paul i've ever seen.
something about the pin stripe doesn't do it for me..
I agree. I don't like this one at all.
Really, really beautiful.
I think it looks terrible. Always did. JMHO, though. But... I will agree: you could see MILES away the seller was going to flip this after the CC run, he most likely had it in mind from the start. You just need a 5 min chat with the guy to know that he doesn't really give a damn about bursts (or any guitar) for the love of art, but "cash talks first and louder" instead. Again, my feeling towards this whole thing. Shame, I kind of feel like a schmuck now after letting a small part of me fall for all that "wow, the amazing story of how I got this unbelievable guitar"... and now he just sells it. Another speculator, nothing else.
Thanks, I pass.
About prices: Please DO NOT compare European prices to US Prices.
€ : $ rate is about 1:1 with vintage guitars, as well as computers and iPhones.
For example the iPhone 6 16GB is €699 here in Austria (with tax). This equals $867 at today's exchange rate of 1.24
A new 2014 Gibson USA Les Paul Standard is €2399 in Germany ($2975!).
Gibson Les Paul Standard 2014 HB
Some people don't like it? Well there's no accounting for taste. For me the deep plumburst and tight fiddleback curl in chevrons are gorgeous.
I love the look of that one. But I like dark bursts and lemons. I don't like csb lol. So why am I so into bursts?
I love this guitar, althought I wouldn't want to own it because of all the stress it will give me.
I don't understand some of you. You guys are always bitching that a burst should be in the hands of a player, now this guitar is for sale and will likely end up with a player and you're still bitching.
I think the term JEALOUSY was invented for some of you guys. Can't afford it but can diss it. If you can't say something nice, STFU.
Somehow this troll behaviour has been the new trend on this forum, so it just might be time to suspend my account and be done with it.
