that guy has a heavy accent and if I've learned anything from James Bond and Die Hard 1, it's that the bad guys always have heavy accents.
Have had it for a while because, after I upgraded my macbook OS to El Capitan, Safari started spinning pinwheels with Youtube - while Brave played quickly and cleanly.
I haven't had the nerve to try it.

I have been using Opera for a few months, mostly because it has a free VPN. Makes it much harder to track anything

all kidding aside, any really good AdBlock extension seems like it would do the same thing for whatever browser you use.
I use Chrome and don't see ads.
It is a badass browser, I hope very few people like it so that sites don't change their behavior for it.
Is there a cowardly browser counterpart?
