I just picked up this DVD today, a great insight into the life and times of John Entwistle. Good interviews with Pete Townshend, Johns mom, and many notable musicians (Peter Frampton is the narrator) Not much tech info, and no rare footage if you've already seen The Kids Are Alright; still a good bio piece, I recommend it
Thanks guys! I've had fun with it already. Funny thing is I keep missing the strings with my pick because the spacing is throwing me off, so I've been just playin with the fingers. It feels like it's been forever since I've picked one up.
I dream of a custom Alembic. Maybe for college graduation.
Apparently Flea has switch from using Gallien-Krueger to using Acoustics, I am so looking forward to seeing them on this tour

oh wow, I just found out that Fender released a 70s P bass (MIJ)
how cool would that look next to my Geddy? major GAS attack
Somehow, I missed this GIANT thread, so here's my Samick Artist Series bass to add to the club.
I was gonna say, when I saw the picture in your other thread, I thought I knew all the basses around here haha
So what's up with the coffee table, Weather? Give us the dope!
Tryin' to piss off Dave Mustaine? He hates those coffee table guitars.
Naw, I just wanna know what wood gives that burl. It's a handsome thing you there.
I believe it's bubinga.
is it a heavy bass?
thats not bad at all
I've used those amps for recording, and my bass player switched to them a while back mixed with another tube head. I think they sound amazing. Even has the same cabs.
thats sweet, Ive never played them myself, but alot of my favorite players were using them back in the 70s/80s. I saw Flea/RHCP on their last tour and he sounded great, the Acoustics might just make him sound that much better
I bet that has some punch to it.
