I can vouch for this. The factory presets all sounded thin and buzzy to me through headphones. After tweaking the cab responses, I had it sounding much better. Then I tried one of the Celestion IRs and it is rockin now. Don't be afraid to turn knobs on these things. There are some great tones in there, but you have to dig.

Likely going to go with the "12" for playing out. It is all direct out to FOH so this looks the most reliable for the $ outlay. I really only want a couple of amp/cab combinations so this should work. JTM45/tweed/some D cleans.
Regarding the numerous mentions of effects options, which aren't a big deal, but it brings to mind a question. Can you run pedals into the pre-amp, and can you run mod pedals in a loop? Neither kills the deal, just curious.
    Thanks

Yes, you can do both of those. You can even move the loop around to change your insertion points.

YES, and it works great. I get all my dirt from pedals - I'm a fuzz addict so preamp drive modeling is irrelevant to my needs.

Give the onboard modulation fx a chance, especially by lowering the mix on them: they're not going to win any awards but they have been a bit too maligned IMO.

The reverb is total rubbish though...!

I thought the same but the new(er) Spring 2 reverb is quite good IMO. :dunno:

I agree that the new(er) one is a vast improvement! :thumb:
