dude ,this might either be one of two things:

*An exclusive import only for the Asian market
*or a--gulp-- a fake--I'm sure others will say something more about it--where did you get this from and how much did you pay for it?

according to S\N my guitar was made in Saein plant in Korea. In 2005.I think it`s not fake.I paid for it 700$ but it`s used. I have a hardshell Epi case for it too.GROVER tuners are standart. It`s looks and sounds FANTASTIC=D but i wander, what is that series from...

well, I am compelled to say it might be an Asian exclusive, never seen anything like that before--but hey, if it plays/sounds well, then more power to ya, bro'!!

Yeah, if it's not fake, it's likely an early 90's Epi. IIRC, they did have the open book-style headstock in the first couple years, and pickguard screw really close to the edge (used to think that was a dead giveaway - usually is).

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in here.

Trussrod cover plate bolts are pushed in(on fake Epi`s they are inlayed on plate) Epiphone logo is correct.:)

Is it just me or does the headstock look a little..."wonky"? I mean, those tuning pegs are all over the place on that thing...
and looking at the block inlay below the HS, it doesn't look as wide as it should be. I'm gonna say this one is probably a fake.

Any MIJ with an open book will definitely have the split diamond much bigger than that...

Can you post a side-on pic of where the headstock meets the nut/first fret? (Preferably the side with the dot fret marker.)

    Cheers.

Yeah, I think it's fake. The headstock binding comes up farther than it should.

First thing I thought of was that was a MIJ Epiphone because those are the only ones I've seen with a Gibson style open-book headstock

    Yup!

...But, at least it doesn't say "Gibson" on the headstock?
