    I absolutely love Telecasters!
Currently I have two partscasters, assembled from some Squier and no-name parts. One is an amputated Esquire with just the bridgepickup, which also has a lefthand neck. Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time...
    They both sound great!

A $225 Squire Tele with a $500 Warmoth neck. The base of the WM neck was a bit thicker than the Chinese made original neck. I couldn't raise the bridges high enough to clear it. Had to make a decision.....shave off the neck, or the pocket on the body. I should have measured but after shaving (also almost the tip of my finger) with a sharp knife, remounting the neck and realizing it wasn't enough, remove neck again, shave again....I finally had shaved a bit too much. Had to lower the bridge all the way down almost. Soooo, I have some metal tape that I folded about 7 layers thick and installed it as a spacer. It came out good and plays great. My first Tele. It's become my go to.

2006 Linhof Special #24 on the left, 2006 Fender Custom Shop Nocaster on the right. The Nocaster has been my #1 for a few years now. Made the mistake of selling it once, never again! It's absolutely perfect; 6.5lbs, super fat and comfy neck, incredibly resonant and a screaming set of pickups- completely stock. I love Tele's, probably my fav guitar, looking to add another one or two soon.

    Hi Tele owners...

I am planning to join this forum soon as I am looking for my first tele... a MIM standard or Squier CV tele.. whatever comes first :)

I am in Egypt and both models are rare to find used here...

I am writing my first post here just to express my point of view on telecasters.. it is a strange guitar... I believe it is a guitar shape which you whether hate or love.. you can't be just neutral to it IMHO

I used to HATE how telecaster looks like.. I have been always preferring the strat shape over it... this is until I played one (Samick) few weeks ago... I liked how the guitar feels and sounds... something totally new to me. My love to the feel and sound turned into love to the shape itself. Now I see telecaster as second preferred shape to me after the Les Paul.

Actually I agree to a great extent with people saying that tele is a single coiled Les Paul :)

See you here soon when I post my NGD... Thanks

My Warmoth partscaster. It is chambered and has Strat contours so although not traditional it is quite comfy to play..
