When Leo invented the Strat, wow. Sold like crazy with great reviews but he still kept his Tele in the line up. I wonder why he kept it? maybe?

After years of fighting it I've got a Tele incoming - can't wait to add her to the arsenal!

I only have one telecaster, but I've had a few in my time. When you find the right one though... forget it. This is mine.

Jeez, what's with the "this is the best guitar" nonsense. Great -- you got a new guitar and are inspired by it, and everything feels and sounds fresh -- because it is. But saying that a single guitar and its playability and tone is best just reflects a limited perspective and is utterly personal. If Jimmy Page used both, maybe it's OK for the rest of us to like them both, too.

Well, to be fair, he's probably had every model of guitar going before deciding this Tele is 'the best guitar' he's ever had - what's wrong with that mate? We're all different and we all play differently, you have so much choice with guitars these days, and I guess so far his Tele is the best guitar he has played.

Most of us are seeking that perfect guitar, and believe me, you know when you have found it. Some never find that. Maybe he's found his, eh?

I like it with a P90. But then again I'm biased. :applause:
And I still have more Gibbys.

Picked up this custom deluxe I had been gassing over since 2012 in trade for my old standard.

upgraded my 2000 52 reissue with a mjt body today, much nicer than the thick nitro/poly fender put on it.

I don't always prefer a telly, but when I do, I prefer them on the rocks. :laugh2:

I love my Tele... it's my beater but it almost never goes out of tune.

I have custom shop Nocaster pickups in it... 1989/1990 American Standard

I am in the process of building this one. Just waiting on one part then I'll get it wired up and strung. Can't wait to hear it. It may need some tweaking - pickups, etc - to put it where I want it to be, but it's already a looker!!!

It had been awhile since I played my Blacktop Tele but I picked it up last night and played for a little over an hour. That guitar just smokes, it's my 100% rock machine.

The Tele's always wind up in the back of the closet (right in front of the Strat's), but I'm always blown away by them when they do come out.

The Tigercaster is just as it was when I finished it. The Paisley RI is waiting on a new neck pickup, and it's getting a 4-way switch and new wiring harness. Never did like the stock pots or pickups, though it's the best playing Tele I've ever held.

That's great! I don't want to be one of those "pickguard" guys, but I think this would look really, really killer with a black (charcoal grey) pearloid guard.

Here's mine. It's a LTDave32 build, 1968 replica with Martin 6 Strings wiring and Electric City Blackscotch pups. 7.25 radius, maple neck w/maple cap. She's a whole lot of awesome! Thanks Dave!
