2015 MIM Road Worn.Lightly distressed and checked...hard to see unless really up close.Amazing neck and tone. The loudest acoustic sound i have ever heard in an electric.Vibrations!

The Tex-Mex pickups are a thing of beauty. This puppy growls in a threatening manner! A combination of the pups, light resonant Ash body, thin nitro finish and a great maple neck.imho.

Most quiet Tele I ever had and with great high's and twang. In open G playing chords the tone is lush. With my Twang King mid position it's like a smooth twangy squawk. It surprised me until I read how they build them. I wish I could find that article again.

But you have a Tele. Isn't one Tele enough?

Yeah, of course the above was meant to be in purple :)

My wife is dragging me to see Jaws in the movie theater. I saw it 40 years ago at the age of nine. I'm still traumatized from the first time.

A friend recently brought a handful of Teles over for some tech work, including Glendale Saddles swaps.

I know what saddles are going onto my two Teles next!

I thought I had posted in this thread but it seems I haven't so here is the Muddy Waters signature Tele I picked up a couple of months ago:

I got rid of the Fender amp knobs that came stock on it and replaced them with normal Tele knobs and I like the look much better. But since this guitar is just about perfect that is the only mod I have done (the previous owner had stickers on the pick guard, and you can still see their outlines a bit, so I might replace the guard but I would order a direct replacement from Fender so that doesn't really count as a mod as it will be the exact same, just new).

No Brother, I got rid of that one. Good guitar, but my tastes changed. I used to be of the mind that Fenders had to have maple fretboards (so the '50s look) but as I got more into the Blues, I started getting more into Fenders with rosewood fretboards (so the '60s look). Personally, I blame Robben Ford as I have watched far too many videos of him playing live and I love his Tele :laugh2:

When I was in the market for a new Tele I was thinking of the Classic '60s but then they released the '60s Baja which was pretty much my dream Tele. I probably would have bought one of those had I not stumbled across the Muddy, which I got along with a used case for less than the price of a new MIM Standard (the guitar and case came to $489 before taxes). There is a lot of love for the Muddy Teles over at TDPRI and many regard them as Fender's best production Tele in years. Having owned the Muddy for a little while now I am glad that I hadn't pulled the trigger on a '60s Baja as I would have missed out on owning a sensational guitar.

I've recently joined the club too with a Baja that I ended up selling and got this one right after:

A Joe Strummer Tele! Amazing guitar with a perfect neck.
Plus I can put as much dings on it as I want :naughty: (the artificial relicing really sucks though, but I haven't find a way to put it down yet).

The Partscaster that I'm building. The tuners and nut are the last pieces and are on the way.

Warmoth compound neck, satin "Dino Burst" finish, Hipshot compensated bridge, 4-way switching with series, etc.

I can't wait to hear it.

Here's my 2013 MIM Fender Satin Series FSR Tele in Flame Orange. I swapped out the B/W/B Pickguard for a W/B/W Pickguard off a Fender Standard Tele.

This guitar plays and sounds as good as any American Standard Tele I have ever played. The pickups are hotter than regular standards. I may swap out the neck pickup for a twisted Tele neck pickup to give it a little more clarity and definition.

But I only paid $348 for it brand new, which was a steal. According to the email I got from Fender, they only made 500 guitars in each of the four Satin Series colors.
