    Hey guys,

Interested in expanding my knowledge of the guitar. So far I've been playing a few years and doing mostly covers of songs I like. Nothing to complicated and never bothered with solos too much (don't have the finger speed). I want to get as much information as I can that will let me start to get away from solos and go more towards writing my own stuff. Any books you guys would recommend for guitar theory or techniques. Need to work on my techniques as well. Looking for a book with some great exercises.

    Thanks

I have two of his dvds. He teaches alot of music theory but the dialogue is cheesey as hell!

I don't know what style of music you play but I just picked up a great blues book w/cd. It shows basic rhytym, rhytym comping, chord and inversions, chord turnarounds, single line turnarounds, minor scale, blues scale, major scale, mixolydian, mixing major and minor, and it has soloing exercises.
