    At the Tacoma Dome.

Stop by the table I'm sharing with Slater, say hi, shoot the shit. He'll be the respectable looking one. I'll be the big dopey looking one. I'll probably have the only SLO rig there, so we'll be easy to spot.

Oh man, that weekend is my ten year anniversary so I won't be able to make it. It would be worth the drive just to have a chance to play that SLO again.

That was almost criminal to force you to play it that quiet because of the volume nazis at the Portland show. You need to play it around 4-6 and get your pant legs moving.

Well, they do have a fairly large 'loud room' set aside at the Tacoma Dome show. I'll wheel it in there for you and you can show those kids how it's done.

What Big John meant to say was that I'm the 'bespectacled' one... Here's me and my BFF from the last show: (I'm the bespectabled one)

It probably goes without saying, but if you stop by our booth and want to hear or play something, all you have to do is ask. Guitar, pedal, amp, whatever...just ask. And we're not dealers or collectors. We're just dudes that have some gear like everybody else walking in the door.

Oh man you're killing me. I wish I could make it but I'll be in Astoria all weekend. You'll have to plug in that Warmoth yourself and make everyone jealous.

Decent show so far. Slater & I have sold some stuff. Show up today and I will cut you deal on some Mesa stuff. You could get my SLO 2x12 rig today for less than what the heads alone sell for. Tone so thick, it'll make a fork stand up in the bowl. :cool2:

PRS stopped by and ran a few riffs thru the Soldano yesterday.

He dug it and commented, "I'm about an inch away from pulling out my plastic. You have it priced more than fair." I just found out this morning that he ponied up 10k for the clean '66 JTM that was at the show Saturday.

On a whim, I brought my "made-in-the-barn" slide guitar just to see if it would spark any interest.

A dude heard me demoing it and just had to have it. Guess I'll have to make another one.

I think this will be the last time I go to this show. It's basically tuned into a mini-NAMM event. There might have been a handful of tables like ours: locals selling used gear. All the rest of the spaces were manufacturers and stores. IMO, the Dome show has lost its local appeal. I'll probably just stick to CL and the forums for buying/selling for a while.

You built a guitar with a true "baseball bat" sized neck, that's awesome.

I was having fun in Astoria eating and drinking everything in site but still kind of wondered what I missed out on. If you decide to come to the next Portland show let me know.
