I like them in my 335 and the R9 I just bought has them and they both sound much better to me than the 57s. But I think the asking price for them a little north of reasonable. I know there are more economical pickups fro. Other manufacturers that are very good quality but I don't know who might have the similar tones. I was thinking of SD Antiquities or PGs.

    Any thoughts?

Look at Vineham for options as well as the Sigil Sessions series.

There are tons of second-hand BB's on the market for almost next-to-nothing.

*I* wouldn't be caught dead with one in any of my instruments, though. ;)

Got a deal on a set of Custombuckers, ordered a Jonesy 50s harness and toggle switch. Plan on installing them in my 2016 Sweetwater plaintop Trad. It is hands down the best of my three Trads but Im not digging the stock pups.

Should be a couple weeks before I get the harness though.

That's a nice harness. I have to get around to trying the custombuckers. Are they bb1s with an alnico magnet?
