Doing this for an MLP member. He sent me a wine red studio and asked for neck and body binding, MOP logo, and red undercoat beneath the black nitro. Similar to a blackburst, so as it wears, the red will show.

I've spared everyone the early stage pics of binding etc. since I've posted several of those already. This is a cool project and it's shaping up nicely.

As with most studios, the top was a little ugly after removing the finish. But I got it cleaned up.

After getting the binding on, I sprayed the red nitro.

I cleaned up the binding and then sprayed the black nitro.

Looks awesome! On my last Jr kit my intent was to do ebony over aged pelham blue.... The blue just turned out too cool to cover it up lol.

I like that idea! I have 4 or 5 more studios, so might do one like that. A road warrior in ebony with the PB underneath.

How would it look on a ES-335?

Well, I have a precision kit 335 I'm doing right now and I'm thinking of doing it black. I could take a whack at it. Though time is of the essence here in western NY not much more spraying time for me. ( no heated or indoor area to paint) but i think it would look amazing!!!!!!!

Loving those Studio to Standard upgrades you're doing, I dont mind standards, and i dont mind binding - so its win-win.

How much would one charge to do this to a Les Paul?

Send me a PM and we can discuss. Right now I have 4 studios stripped down and ready to go for any custom finish and I haven't routed them for binding yet in case someone want it without. One has a one-piece top and rosewood fretboard, one has a flame-top with rosewood fretboard, and the other two have two-piece pain-top with ebony. I also have a 2005 flame-top standard stripped down that I was planning on replicating Slash's first custom model with. See below.

So, depending on what you want, I can provide the entire guitar.

Getting the final polishing done on this guy and then I'll cleanup the fretboard and level the frets, etc. Can't wait to get the Bigsby on!

Any update on this? It is for final polishing and set up since December and you are no longer replying my messages. Will I see my guitar again?
