I've been thinking....... My Frankenstrat.... I would love to have some very clear on and off switches for each of the pickup's . It's got the normal strat switches but I want to be able to simply switch them off as I decide. 1500663013050351091858.jpg

Which one would give me independent control of each pick up without effecting the others so I could effectively pick and choose which pups are working?

By the way, massive thank you for replying

I've never done the mods myself in all honesty..

But going by that first diagram they're just your basic on/off switches for each individual pickup.

You might have an issue with that type of wiring if you like/use the now "standard" strat type 5 way switch.(Think of Positions #2 & #4)
You'd have to figure out how to wire the #2 and #4 positions of the 5 way switch with the switches you want to use. I didn't read the link i posted but that type of switching is probably covered in there somewhere.

I think individual mini-toggles are too finicky. Want to go from one setting to another? You might have to flip all three switches to get there (e.g. go from neck only to bridge+middle). I like G&L's S-500 wiring better, which is the standard strat 5-way, plus a mini-toggle that turns on both neck and bridge, which allows the two "missing" positions (neck+bridge and all three on). With the switch engaged, you get neck+bridge when the 5-way is at either end of its sweep and all three on with the switch in positions 2-4. Easier to use on the fly in my experience.
