Yes, but if i want to order a set of pickups i realy like (like otpg set) i would pay in advance and wait for 5 years if i need to :)

When you know why you need something, you will wait anytime :)
    They deliver, one day :)

I disagree, JMO. I personally wouldn't wait 5 years for the original paf's out of Mike Bloomfield's original burst, let alone any modern winder. A lot can happen in 1 year, never mind 5 years to a winder and there's no guarantee that you'll receive anything. I think after 180 days you no longer have any recourse with paypal or your credit card company. I, Personally, would never take that gamble.

Dave Stephens and Bruce Bennett should partner up.

I don't believe anyone makes a product worth that long of a wait.

Tom Holmes told me the wait was two years and it was pretty much two years to the date. I did not have to pay him a dime until they were ready to ship.

I bought some harnesses from MSSC as well as some Electric City Pickups.

Had them in my hands in 9 days. That's 531 days less than some other vendors. Matt and Bill are top shelf.

It depends on whom is selling you the pickups or anything else for that matter . Reputation has a big influence on making that decision . Telling the truth is a good starting point . Anyone of us can and would understand a slight delay(weeks) . If your told 2 years , it's on you at that point . But being told X amount of weeks and that turns into years, The message should be pretty clear .

The Message really is : Your Order is not important enough to fill , only your money is what I'm concerned with . Now go bug off .

Life's to short for that junk , no matter how good(you think) the item is .

A pair of P-90s was ordered/paid for this morning at 13:45:50 PST according to Paypal. Invoice sent a couple hours earlier.
They were shipped at 3PM today, along with another set ordered on the 9th.

A second set was made for a guy from the Queensryche/Tate camp, ordered yesterday for NAMM. Already done, picking up tomorrow.

    Ain't no excuse

    Hello,
Do people not realize that 100 pickups prepaid comes in a roughly $50,000. That's a lot of money going directly back into materials.

Having read this entire thread and listening to all sides it just accentuates what we as a society are becoming. Bottom line is we are all spoiled rotten. This has definitely become an overly sensitive whiney me. me and more me culture that has lost tolerance for anyone and any action that does not fall into our way of thinking. Holy Catfish just a generation ago half the dirty laundry and self righteous indignation on display here would have never even come to light. Everyone has a right to not like a business and do your business with someone you prefer, but bashing them publically based on other's experiences and then others trying to profiteer from negative commentary paints a pretty clear picture. How far we have fallen...

So...why resurrect this thread simply to tirade? I'm sincerely curious as to your intentions...?

Five year wait, two year wait is just complete bulls**t. No pickup maker in the world is that far behind. And if they are, they're doing something very wrong.

I'm not so sure, all , think of it as doing wrong ...The 1 who's got your money seems to be OK with it .
Otherwise , Why not stop taking $$$ until you can produce your product to your customer in a reasonable amount of time ???

well ,Maybe someone's happy with the service they got and wants to help out their friend :laugh2:

Funny ,with the internet ,, BS like those who ~ scam people ,can, be brought to the light of day now ,,, And in a public forum.. where the masses can be warned about the possible risk at hand .
Of course There are a few who'd like to keep those facts under wraps and perpetuate the wrong doing ..for profit :wow:

For some , I guess Dirty laundry is better(even though it still stinks) then Clean laundry ...
