I just traded a Spider 3 75 watt amp for a Spider Jam.
I usually run this amp clean with a DigiTech Element XP pedal in front of it, but sometimes I put the pedal in bypass and just run the amp. I am really impressed with it. I like the looper, I plan to use it on a Waylon song that I am learning. Both the pedal and the amp have drum presets to study with and the amp has rhythem tracks too.

Any other Spider fans out there?

I had one. Sold it the day after I played through a Twin Reverb. I was totally blown away by the Twin. I'd rather have one/two great tones than a million I'm not all that happy with.

Great thing about playing music is that your opinion isn't wrong! That amp was great when I was first learning. Lots of options/tones/effects/etc. Just have fun, end of story.

A Kemper or Helix will do a Twin Reverb no problem...
