For sale is my 2007 Gibson Melody Maker '59 Reissue which had a makeover by Starr Guitars.

The guitar sounds fantastic with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickup and it plays like a dream. But the real treat is this Melody Maker had a complete makeover by Starr Guitars back in 2014. They refinished it in their 'Father Time' nitro and did a beautiful aging job including real cold-weather checking. Below is a full list of features on the guitar which includes a couple of additional upgrades by the previous owner.

. Mahogany neck and body, unlike later models
. Refinished 'Father Time' nitro, beautiful aging job by Starr Guitars
    . Repro truss rod cover
. Bone nut, shaped and polished
. Full fret level and crown w/ bullet-nose fret ends
    . Tonepros 3-on-plate tuners
. Tonepros stainless steel locking studs
    . Pigtail wraparound tailpiece
. Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickup
    . Weight = 6.12 pounds
    . Neck = .84" at first fret, .94" at the 12th
. Comes with a gig bag

MLP price is $600 firm with me covering the paypal fees and the buyer to cover the shipping (shipping only within the continental United States, Fedex preferred). I'm not looking for any trades at this time.

There are many more pictures on my Reverb ad at https://reverb.com/item/5273796-2007-gibson-melody-maker-1959-reissue-makeover-by-starr-guitars including original pictures from Starr Guitars, a few pics from the previous owner and the rest are pics that I took.

Nice guitar! What's the story on these models, Custom Shop? Case?

I've played a vintage one several times owned by a family member, this one looks identical.

Thanks. This was just a regular run from Gibson USA that Starr Guitars chose to do a relic job on. They really did do a fantastic job on it and it's an inexpensive way to get a well done Gibson makeover. Here's a link to the Facebook post that they made back when they overhauled it --> https://www.facebook.com/pg/StarrGuitars/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10152921946424559. They mentioned in the post that it came with a gator case but the guy I got it from didn't ship it in one. I've got a nice gig bag that I'll be shipping it in though.

One time price drop to $550. If it doesn't sell at that price then I'm going to hang on to it :)
