They're really great guitars, mines a little beat up but it plays and sounds fantastic!
I started with a red 335 copy that amazed me. The rose wood Tele is fantastic, the next was a EVH Wolfgang with high out put pups by SD. My last one is a Jaguar the now has a killer Blender Pot.
Black Road Worn 50's body with 90's CIJ neck and 57/62 pickups
Inca Silver Road Worn body with 80's MIJ neck and CS 69 pickups
The Edge signature Strat
My latest project..........the Creamsicle.......
2016 MIJ ST62 with upgraded electronics and Pure Vintage 65 pickups.
Some shadow in this pic, but the Surf Green is as close as any recent Fender gets to the real deal.
'93 MIJ ST-62, custom 'guard 57-62s and blend pot, full Callaham trem/bridge
MIJ ST-54 and MIA CAR standard( Sold but no new pics)
A Squier bullet in disguise before the (not so) infortunate accident.
Some nice MIJ there...
That is just way too cool!
How do the minis sound in a Strat?
My only Strat; had it since 1982 so it's been around the block a bit (like me ). I had it refinished 3 years ago in nitro (non standard, but I prefer it) and it's currently being re-freted. Only a Squire, but it's one of the first into the UK, just after they stopped putting 'Fender' in big font on the headstock, so it is a 'JV' model.
I've tried other Strats but I always prefer the feel of this one. I didn't know back then that it had a 7.25" radius, but it turns out that's what suits my hands, so I have a 50s Classic Tele now too with a very similar neck.
Resting against my mini Marshall stack:
did you paint it yourself? looks great
Much more than "only a Squier" mate (but you already knew that)
I did it myself indeed, only for it to meet its fate. you can see the steps of painting it here
And what happened next here
It almost broke my heart, and I'll probably will find a good MIM Strat, paint if the same, and keep it this time.
And I still need to finish the threads above.... didn't had time to finish the video of the show.
Dang, add a mint green pickguard and aged plastics and you'd have the World's Best Looking Guitar!
oh cool, I saw the video where you burned it I'm sure Jimi would approve. I've always wanted a Monterey-style strat, but I really don't think I could paint one that good myself

Believe me when I say that closer it look far from perfect. But when I showed it to a collector who has many Hendrix articles and saw the real guitar, he said that Jimi didn't do it perfect either. So no shame on trying.
Here is a strap Jimi painted and used : (the guitar is just a '97 JH trbute Stat signed by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Kim Simmons in 2006)
And some of hand drawn sketches he did in '68 and he gave to Noel Redding.
god... dang... GORGEOUS. I know this is an LP forum, but Daphne Blue is my kryptonite
