2 years ago you couldn't give me a Stratocaster, then I bought my grandson a squier from a co-worker and did some mods to it, leveled the frets and generally made a decent playing guitar. During process of the setup and playing it I got the bug. I bought a MIJ locally from a guy kept it for a while but it had some issues so I started building partscasters. These are the ones I kept and the one in the center has become my go to when I come home. It's the one, plays so good, sounds so good it's hard to put it down. It is just the right combo of parts and pickups that jive together.

After years of playing various Squier'age, my Family bought me this for Christmas one year.
The robins egg color doesn't show too well in the pictures.

IMG_3489.JPG IMG_4038.JPG IMG_4039.JPG UI have four Strats, my great white Strat is my favorite. I did everything to it, even the pearloid turners. Lock tuners, Lace Sensors pups, roll nut and saddles. Coil split with a 7 way switch. Monkey business to the tremolo.

That is a fantastic Classic rig that that things back in time and then hit it and end up on the day after tomorrow. So very cool!

Fender people are more relaxed than Gibson people. The serial number on a Gibson is life and death important. Fenders the serial number is some place, maybe on the last neck. Those numbers began with an E I think. Gibsons try PAFs, next bare knuckle, no keep the stock pups. Fenders we check if they work or maybe try something else. My Gibson is an investment, I never play it. My Strat is mine and I let people play it. I'll keep my Telecaster till it turns to dust, they I'll paint it and new strings.

That neck replacement thing was Mr Fenders idea to have a new neck when a problem came up. Fret job, it twists or whatever. I always go with the body date. Leo looked at the neck like a replacement part. I go along with him. The body is the date I use, my 1968 has had countless necks but one body.

Not Fenders, but all mine. The Sonic Blue is my favorite.

IMG_2632.JPG IMG_4011.JPG IMG_4025.JPG IMG_4126.JPG I don't like EMGs because of the battery fit in a Strat. My Peavey T30 is one of my favorite Strat guitars ever. I have P90s on a couple Strats, this the one my girl friend put in the deep freezer to keep it safe.

I really got into Jay Turser guitar. They are high quality, I have done little changes to my 335 copy.
