I've been casually looking for a replacement for my 2012 Tahoe. It's sitting with about 85,000 miles, it's mechanically sound and if the dealer is to be believed one of *the* cleanest trade-in's they've had in some time. (Actually, he's right. It is in excellent condition) I haven't purchased a new vehicle in 25 years, always preowned. I did start looking at used trucks but the prices are ridiculous. For example; This dealer has a 2015 Tahoe LTZ (Same as my white truck pictured below) with 47,667 miles for $42,489. For another $2,600 I was in a 2018 with zero miles and full warranty, etc. Granted, the new truck is an LS which is a few steps below the LTZ on the option level, but the LS is still nicely equipped. I'm pretty sure I can manage without a DVD player, heated/cooled seats and whatnot. I pick it up Tuesday.
