Slab/bound Strats are the coolest:
Not certain yet if it's going to be contoured or double bound.
Double Bound would be fun, and look killer. Contour is for comfort. I suck so I gotta look good
Then dubba-bound she be.
Ah, got it. Slab side means flat. All too obvious.
Looks like some good wood!
I doubt that somehow...!
That picture ALMOST makes me like Strats. Beautiful guitar. I'm sure yours will kill.
Crotch’s is going to be on the bench coming up,.. my B Bender has shipped. Dun’s is being finished as the slab Strat is being started.
But @LtDave32 is getting hitched on Thursday and a trip to follow,...
Congratulations,... good luck,... and happy honeymoon Amigo
THAT has been my MO since the beginning! LOL!!!
I've always figured if I put a flashy guitar out in front of me I can distract their attention from my playing!
Mum's the word tho, K?
Mine won't be far behind! Working out the final details of what I want and coming up with the down payment.
Someone go to the classifieds and buy something...
Dave posing with my B Bender,... just a peek at this mans quality work.
Almost? Sexy beasts they are.
Just envisioning a tangerine w/flames & ebony Skrat made me a bit moist... Damn....
As far as ebony, it can run from black thru red to cream....
I love the streaked multicolor ebony....
That is just wicked
Do love me a bound slab strat!
Well, call me a dumb-ass for asking this, but what is a "slab" Strat?
I poked around and the only reference I can find is to a slab fretboard as opposed to a veneered one.
