man, it sounds sweet
it is a very nice amp
that is some sweet saturation going on in there
do you have clips with the amp miked?
I'm not aware of any. I believe they are all just low quality live recordings. Hopefully in a few months I'll have some studio demos.
Search youtube for "Soul Tramp" and you'll see several videos.
Man, I just read this whole thread not knowing a thing you guys were talking about, but it was a sweet ride.
broke out the soul tramp last night.
wow! Night of the living dead.
With all the amps you have, how do you make time for that nasty old Tramp?
only because it's a cool rig
it's in regular circulation around here
it's also been on loan a few times and i had to piss and moan to get her back
What a slut!
why do i always attract sluts?
must be my rabbitt ears
I've been rocking my tramp as well as of late. Still sounds fantastic, although no matter what tubes I run through it, I get horrible tube rattle at higher volumes. So much so, that I am seriously considering getting a head cab made for it, as when I run it through an extension cab only, without its onboard speaker, I can avoid the dreaded rattle. Which is a damn shame really, as the combo cab that Don made for this is a killer looking tweed. But, if it makes this beauty into a more usable amp, then sacrifices must be made.
Gman, there's a couple of things you can try.
1) Put a thin foam (hardware store weatherstripping) gasket between the chassis and back panel. Also where the faceplate meets the top of the cab. Try this first. If it doesn't work go to step 2.
2) put same gasket between the baffle board and whee it attaches (top & bottom) to the cab.
Thanks Don, I'll give these a try.
