I can't say enough good things about my bluesman set—they're awesome. I think I want to try out the US68 neck with the UK66 bridge. What do you think? I like my pickups a little on the hot side. Maybe a little hotter than stock even? I'm actually thinking of swapping out my sheptone ab customs out of my R9, which I thought I'd never do, but I have been playing my traditional the the bluesmans and really dig them.

Thanks! I can't say enough good things about my customer either ;)

I find it odd, but three of the last 6 sets out the door have been that exact combo with a 68 Neck and 66 Bridge. I personally quite like the combo and have heard back from one guy so far that he's quite pleased as well. The other two sets are still enroute but I'm hoping for a similar response. :thumb:

Not only are the winds of the two sets significantly different but the magnet treatment is different as well, but definitely complimentary.

My new set is amazing! These are now my favourite pickups now. So much versatility, with mellow clear cleans to raunchy screaming. Thanks Dave.

Well I've done went gone and run out of Raw Covers... I'm still winding while I wait and putting names on the sets, but no payments due until I get my goods! I expect them this week if all the planets align and Canada Post comes through. I apologize to those now waiting with me.

I still have many sets of shiny nickel though so those and uncovered are business as usual.

Here's a clip from a guy testing out my hotter PAF winds at ~7.8k / 9.3k. They were a custom jobbie trying to get 'something Joe Bonamassa would use' but I found I was getting more of a Haynes tone out of my Fender Blues DeVille with my Klon clone driving things a touch hot. The vid is not me...I wish!

As a disclaimer neither Warren nor Joe have signed on so they're not signature sets by any means...just my take on some tones I love as per the rest. A Name you ask? Nothing definite yet but I was aiming for what I was hearing on the Georgia Bootleg Box Set from 2010 so will likely be related to that in the Bluesman line.

Another happy customer here. The combination of US68 neck with the UK66 bridge sounds just right.

    Hi,

I just wanted to give a shout-out to Dave & his pickups. I ordered the UK68 Bluesman Neck and UK66 Bluesman Bridge in double cream and just tried them out today in my 2013 Les Paul Trad. Initial impressions are: slightly hotter in the bridge than the factory '57 Classic Plus. Nice clarity in the neck compared to the muddiness you can sometimes get. Nice growl and warmth as well...excellent customer service...very happy! Also, you can't go wrong with the look of double creams :thumb:

You can't go wrong with Dave's pickups. I'm waiting for my fifth set, all sets were great and Us bluesman are my long time favourites. Splendid!

Yesterday I got the US bluesman set with nos wire. Nice twist on a great set. Sounds a bit smoother, has more low mids and drives the amp a bit harder. Higher output makes them a bit more foregiving. A great set for rock players

Yesterday we were working on tunes for a demo and used your Custom Wind pups in the guitar we put them into.
Those pups turned a decent guitar into an outstanding instrument....thanks
