My Korina Explorer and Bonamassa Firebird side by side. I love my Epiphones!
Hey guys, I'm new here, just had a couple questions about an epiphone junior that I've had for a few years just never really played it that much. I was doing some maintenance on it tonight and saw that it has a limited edition custom shop logo printed on the back of the headstock. I also never really thought much of it, but the volume and tone knobs are chrome and have grip on them. I don't know much about the guitar at all, hoping you guys could shed some light? Thanks

I've had my Bonamassa Firebird for a few weeks now and can honesty say it's one of the best guitars I own (no small feat considering I own 108 guitars)
Latest group-shot of my 'other' Epis
As for the Firebird I, yes, great, great guitar!
Love mine too.
we can't see your bird ?
There's a pic in the post!
But here's a link for an Instagram pic of it
Not visible for people who don't have an account at instagram,
If you've got the pic on your computer you can use the 'upload a file' option in your post
How about now?
Nice Looking Bird
OK, here are mine:
There ya go!
Sweet collection there. I love the Explorer with the pearl guard and trc!! Classy!
Thanks Kong. That was a custom PG from Tony at Pickguardian. He does great work. He did the PG and Tennon on the black SG Pro also.
The Explorer is currently undergoing significant upgrades/changes. Double battery box, EMG Afterburner 20dB booster, Gold Maestro Vibrola and roller bridge installation (filling the ST stud holes and making it look right is not for the impatient types out there). I'll post more either here or a separate thread when done.
I've bought this sheraton II pro 4 days ago. Very happy with its clean sound and BB King'ish stuff but i could not hear a warm crunch or rock'n roll sound from it yet. Although my reason for purchasing it was that natural hollow body clean sound i couldnt set my amp and pedals for it right. When driven a little bit from the amp performance is acceptable but yet raw and cheap sounding. Trebly and like electric razor! Boost it a little with a tube preamp and it is cheaper. My Gibson LP Traditional sings so natural and warm with the same set up. Can anyone recommend some settings or give an opinion about the issue? Changing pups (everybody says probuckers are great but i dont know yet) or changing something else? I have dialed eq for every possible situation but couldnt achieve that warm yet punchy Rock'n roll sound!
Amp: Fender Blues Junior III Limited edition (Red vinyl with Red coat Wizard speaker) + attenuator. Vol max 9, MAster max 3-4 (bedroom levels!)
Pedals: Ep booster (perfect with lp crappy with sheraton) ---> Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Blue
Ps: By the way, neck was a little bit sticky due to thick layer of poly finish, i had it sanded down to a satin finish and it is very comfortable and fast now. And looks not bad. I recommend this application.
