In a moment of drunken boredom, I decided to arrange photos of my electrics into 'the order I'd grab them if the house were on fire.'
A one-by-one ranking just didn't work, so I put them into groups. And I discovered that the important criteria for me were sentiment and frequency of use. So, the two partscasters I assembled with my dad were top of the list, and after that my consideration of each guitar was 'how upset would I be to lose it'? To my surprise two of the cheapest guitars I own - secondhand Epiphones - sailed effortlessly into the first group. A really expensive Rickenbacker twelve-string came close to the last. Which is not to say I'd be happy to see it burn, but I wouldn't miss it as much as the eighty-quid SG, and I could replace it pretty easily, given the insurance money.
I understand that this is of interest to no one but me, but try it with yours. It's a revealing exercise.
Some great collections in this thread! My small and humble stable:
Fr l to r...
Spitshine S model
ES Les Paul
Teye La Perla
Larrivee LV 10E
Wish I could. I've never even seen that - everything is here ...there... and everywhere in the house.
You sir have a serious problem.
Here's a pic of some of mine...
Here are my Gibbys:
This certainly has been a fun thread as I've really enjoyed checking out everyone's collections.
What follows below is a "collage" showing off my collection. This may go against the spirit of this thread, but I don't wall-hang nor own more than three guitar stands...I don't even own a large couch to prop up my guitars for a photo. This is the best I can do for now. Cheers.
