Cool story that was nice to hear about your family . My mom also likes playing the piano and your mom looks like she is enjoying herself doing the same .

I guess I can thank my mom for my singing voice thats where it came from .

Nice Gretsch you have there I might add .

That's my Dad and his Gretsch. He passed in 87. You can tell it's an old pic by the stubby beer bottle on his amp. haha. I loved that guitar. My dad knew every country song ever written. I swear. He could go for 3 days and never repeat a song. He stuttered when he spoke but never when he sang. When I asked him why it was so, he said that when he sang, he already knew what he was going to say but when he was talking, he had to think about it. I was a kid and thought that made perfect sense.

Yes, the room is what's important to me.
And we all felt comfortable working together in the same room like that as opposed to me being "the man behind the glass".

The lady in the pictures above.....I just saw her in a play last night. She is one of Canada's premier stage actors, such a sweet girl and a good friend. (and a freakin' huge talent!)

A few more gratuitous photos of her....I think the camera loves her!

I had to scroll to "like" her pics....that must mean I love her too :)

I normally don't put in such effort.

Now is it just me, or does *every* piece of Manley gear from the silver-face era have one lamp that's "orange" and one that's "white" for some reason...?

And it's usually the left one that's "orange..."

I thought it was just me on one piece -- Then two. His shot has three. I even replaced the lights once in my VariMu -- and then switched them around -- and -- well, it wasn't that big of a deal or anything, but it was just weird.

Yeah, we try to change those bulbs every once in a while:) I love the Manley stuff. My first piece was the Dual ELOP Compressor (#32) way back when. Have been friends with EveAnna for quite some time. I also have the Manley Ref Cardiod Microphone. All very great stuff. For me their sound 'signature' is in the line amps.

Funny story. I posted some pics of our rack on Facebook and tagged EveAnna Manley. She saw the pics and had somebody in repairs send me new bulbs! I have to put 'em in there.

Here's my home dual purpose studio/mancave. I just picked up the two Mackie monitors. I may pick up some stands in the next month. I use a Focusrite 2i2 for interface. The black droid looking box on the left is a ported isolation cab for the guitars. It works great and is real easy to switch between amps. I picked up that little laptop desk in the front right from Ikea. Works really well.

Mine Gott...some great looking set-ups here. I suppose that's why I call mine "the playroom" rather than daring to characterize it as a studio.
