Posted in the Gibson Blowout Acquisition thread...had to post here too! I love this SGJ. Sounds amazing...growls through the Micro Terror. Neck is incredible. So comfortable. I love the satin finish. My wife even loves the look.
My Tony Iommi/Angus Young dreams come true!

It was $450 + tax (all in ~$510) includes gig bag, free set up and one extra year on the warranty.
I went back and bought a hardshell for $70+ tax.
    All in $Canadian.
    Well worth it!

Right on. You had the year and color that I'd like to pick up. It's so simple that it's got class. I really believe that as the years pass, these will be a very coveted model guitar. :)

Nothing wrong with a reminder (even after 4 years) of how good these are.

rednefceleb - take a look at the chappers/captain lee video on the SGJ and LPJ - it's a great overview of the guitar. it was a video that definitely got me curious about it and, at the time, one I really enjoyed by them.

Thanks for that. The guitars sound better than I expected but Gibson pups have never let me down. I notice that you own an SGJ and two LP fadeds. Thanks. :)

Yes, I'm fortunate enough to have gotten the LP trad Faded (there's a full sticky thread about this limited run guitar here: http://www.mylespaul.com/threads/the-2011-lp-traditional-standard-faded-mega-thread.144883/). it's an awesome guitar and was my wedding present. I also lucked out and picked up a 2016 studio faded at a big box store for about $300 CAD +tax. I had to put another $100 or so into it, where I changed it to 50s wiring due some issues with the electronic board that caused the bridge pick up to go screwy. it's my Eb guitar and love it as well! Did you pull the trigger on the SGJ as yet?

Not yet as I am waiting for a bunch of retroactive pay checks on P/T job I started in May. I have a Bacchus BLS-59 LP and a Bacchus SG-Studio HSS Strat picked out. Am deciding on a better amp also. I believe I'll get a Fender Supersonic 22 watt 1x12. After that, an SGJ 2013 Walnut I hope. Also looking @ Westbury DC set neck Standards from late 70's early 80's Matsumoko made. There are a few on E-bay. I am playing OLP's and a Squier 60th anniv. Classic Vibe for now. At least she's got a Shawbucker and tex mexes installed. Take it easy. :)
