Just purchased a White Stazon ink pad so I can stamp my 56 LPC replica.
Soon as the pad arrives I'll stamp up the number and post the result !
    I'm thinking # R6 0813
    R6 - Model Year
    08-Month it's completed

Good news, guys! I received a new batch of the kits yesterday. This new batch has the nicer, thicker acrylic blocks again, so (unfortunately) I have to boost the price back up by $5.00 to cover this extra cost; but I was able to get the stamp pads for a little less, so I'm passing that savings on to you. Following is the pricing and payment info (in USD):

    Stamp Kit: $50.00 each
Staz-On Stamp Pad (recommended): $8.00 each

    Shipping via USPS Priority Mail:

    To U.S.: $5.15
    To Canada: $19.95
    International: $23.95

I accept PayPal payments (preferred). If you’d like to process a payment through PayPal, my ID (same as my email address) is: pinefd@comcast.net
And please make sure you have a current shipping address listed with Paypal.

Also, in case you hadn’t already seen this, please take a moment to check out this MLP thread which will give you a good idea as to what is included in the stamp kit (before the change to the thinner block), and how to use it: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/lut...rial-number-stamp-kit-pictorial-tutorial.html

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: pinefd@comcast.net

Please note that my PM box is currently full, so use email to contact me, but I'll also try to make some room in my PM box in the next day or two, if you prefer to contact me that way.

Pinefd, just wondering if any of these stamp kits are still available or will be in the future?

Just a quick note to let you know that there are no more kits left from this batch, but I have another batch on order which should arrive by early next week.

Can anyone nail down the shade of yellow that was used to stamp LPCs and other black headstocks?

I believe it was actually white or off-white paint that looks yellow once the topcoat starts to amber with age.

If you put a jar of nitro in the sun for a few months before spraying it, it develops that yellow colour that is typical of old nitro tops coats. I have a few on my garage roof & 4 months of summer sun has given a really nice amber to the nitro.

Sorry to resurrect a 2yr old thread, but I haven't ever needed a stamp kit until recently.

My R8 is currently being refinished by Chad Underwood (http://www.underwoodcg.com ) and he doesn’t have his stamp any longer. I’d really like for him to be able to re-stamp my R8 with my original serial # when he’s completing the refinish.I know it’s a long shot, but are the kits still available? if no, do you know anyone who would "lease" one to Chad so i can get my serial# back on?

    thanks,
    bordhed
