    OK. I think I'm officially done for a while.
    Did one final swap yesterday. Swapped the LT for big brother. Really not sure it was a good move, but I also would never have been sure if I hadn't . I was (and still am) the perfect candidate for the LT. The LT is a great piece. So great, it convinced me to go ahead and step up. Don't know if I'll ever use any of the upgrades, but they're there if the need arises. I also ended up doing a speaker swap that ended up with an unexpected result. I was in the return window on the TS210. I was and still am a huge fan of the new Alto 2 series. I think they're a good piece with great bang for the buck. I spend too much time reading the www and wanted to experience an upgrade. My thought was to upgrade the 210 to one of the 1 series QSC K10's on clearance. The only one remaining was an extremely well used floor model. After a bit of salesmanship from both my GC guys that I actually trust and have a very good relationship with, I ended up leaving with a very good deal on a pair of QSC K8's. After getting everybody moved in last night, I had a short, but very enjoyable round one. I think I've got my rig now. Only thing left to do is dump the cabinet for a small table. The cupboard is bare, so to speak.

    I hope you guys enjoyed the ride! :rofl::rofl:

    You are almost there POP.. So far I think I have been pretty accurate in recommending stuff to you. So here is my last recommendation. Dump those baby speakers and get a 1 12 powered XITONE wedge.

    Then and only then will your rig be done.. Trust me.. The difference is profound and I say that after a set of 8 inch studio monitors.

    If I actually "got there" Frank, my greatest fear would be that your life no longer had purpose!
    :cheers2::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    That admittedly was a concern. It did take some coaxing. Right now, I feel like their advice was spot on. I've got all the sound I need for my setting. It's like listening to and playing along with a really, really good stereo. I'm very pleased. I'll step up again right before my upcoming stadium tour begins. Until then, I think I'm right where I need to be.

    You miss the point. It has absolutely nothing what so ever to do with loud volume. Quite the opposite. What you have there and what most small consumer grade studio monitors lack is any real bottom end. The bottom end when playing at low volume is extremely important to the overall tone. I can not stress this enough to you. In no time you will realize this.

    And about my life revolving around you and your rig... hahahahahaha

    Pop that really cleaned up your cabinet! Maybe you could put a bar fridge, some glasses, ice bucket and some bottles of good SM Scotch in that baby for when your playing! Now I'm jealous damn it!:applause:

    I'm with Ken. Run those cables to the lower compartment and move the Helix where you can slide it out on the floor as its intended. Then you can put a bar or mini-fridge in the upper section and have a frosty beverage at your fingertips without having to even put your guitar down. :dude:

    Congrats on the new gear. I have a new guitar incoming myself.

    I've decide to hold off on another monitor for now. I'm telling myself if I am ever paid a dime to play, I'll go get a DXR 10 or maybe 12.

    Congrats. Remember, the Helix is a great tool you can grow with. I have had mine over a year now and I am still finding new things to enjoy, new inspirations....

    ^^^ Yep. I haven't even scratched the surface!

    If I put it on the floor, I couldn't see it! :rofl:

    Maybe put it on top of one of those Marshall fridges.

    @Pop1655: You're There!

    The Helix works exceptionally well at keyboard/desktop level! An Expression Pedal can easily be connected, should you find you want foot control. And, with Helix Editor (or Helix Native, expected to be released late next month) running on your laptop or desktop computer, seeing what's going is much easier! So you've got options to explore.

    As for those QSC 8" FRFR monitors, at such close proximity, and at ear level, you are not likely to get those too loud. You may want to explore placing them on the floor (vertically or as wedges) to see how they sound. The corner (walls and floor) to the left of your gear cabinet may introduce unwanted boomy bottom end acoustic coupling.

    A fuller and larger sounding wedge or backline positioned setup is an entirely different experience, than having such active FRFR monitors at ear level and only a few feet away. PA monitors project sound differently than Studio Monitors, and do better a few more feet away to allow the output from their drivers to blend smoothly. YMMV. Either way, the QSCs are a distinct step up from the Altos.

    Have fun with the new gear!!!! I am confident you will ultimately find Helix Floor's virtues (beyond those of the Helix LT) useful and of benefit. And, you're now perched for a bigger discount on Helix Native. ;)

    Congrats Pop! you'll find those scribble strips are useful for more than just labeling effects. If you ever want to use the hands free editing mode they are really handy for that too. Enjoy that sweet new setup!

    Just ran my acoustic through it.
    Very nice!
    (Forgot to mention I picked up an acoustic yesterday too from a customer)
