My first post at this forum!
I really like this tool you created. I have a 1999 LP Studio that I bought used, because it has some damage to the fingerboard. I managed to pick it up for $100. Right now it's Ebony with Gold Hardware. But because I didn't pay much for it, I've been seriously considering modding it. This gives me the chance to play around with color combinations, and see what it might look like. I think I've found what I want to do with my Studio. Right now, the fingerboard has dot inlays, so that's what I used in my picture. I'm seriously considering taking it to my luthier and have him change out the rosewood board, for ebony, and then change me from dots to trapezoids. But that is going to depend on what he's going to charge me.
Here is my plan.
Not a LP by any means.. But I'm a sucker for exotic builds...
That will probably cost a lot more than what you might expect and to me it seems not really worth it. You could most likely go with another studio with trapez inlays?
Two plus years on and still coming up with stuff.
Still blown away by how well you were able to blend photo objects with vector objects.
