IMG_7827.JPG IMG_7828.JPG IMG_7829.JPG Waiting to get some new sanding pads, I fixed the little chunk out of the neck pocket on the karri topped one.

I also got the rope and the back chambered in the pine build, it's getting a karri neck and blackbutt fretboard. Also got the bolt soundholes cleaned as best as I could. Going with a bucker in the bridge and a hot rail type pickup in the neck, both will more than likely have trapeze tail pieces and definitely have roller bridges

IMG_7844.JPG IMG_7845.JPG IMG_1008.JPG All fine sanded, just need to make a neck for the pine one and glue that in

The pup ring is hitting the bridge so I may have to direct mount it, or get a metal surround and sand that down
Could not wait for the new sander pads so I hand sanded the neck and two bodies. All nice and smooth now

The karri top build will be clear coated tomorrow, and I'll work in the neck during the week for the pine build

IMG_7863.JPG IMG_7865.JPG IMG_7866.JPG IMG_7867.JPG Still clear coating, got the side dots and the nut glued in the new neck, now I need to fret and carve the neck. And give it another good sanding

I've also got a Tele to put together that my mum's neighbour gave me todo, I did some repair work and and after seeing the hollow body ibanez makes me want a true hollowbody guitar. I will most likely get a pit bull 175 kit

Just need to figure out why the volume knobs isn't working, it just stays on the maximum setting for both volumes.

    Also trying different knobs IMG_7877.JPG IMG_7878.JPG IMG_7879.JPG

okay I figured out why the volume knobs weren't working.

Whoever made the wiring harness decided to wire the switch wire to the first lug instead of the second.

All sorted, now I'll be taking it to the local music shop to see if they like it

IMG_7974.JPG IMG_7972.JPG IMG_7973.JPG Both of the latest two have new owners, the owner of the karri top guitar has asked me to make two thinline teles so I'll be working on them next.

As well as refinishing another Tele for my mums neighbor which is nearly done I have also finally started clearcoating the jem style guitar I started when I did the green Tele.

So after this post I will be going a 30 inch saf bass so that should be interesting

Also I put some filtertron in the blue saf, it's intentionally looking like that I swear

    Thanks
That's rustoleum grape purple it's a primer/top coat, I had issues with it before I got it, first one had the nozzle break off when I took the lid off, went and bought another can then it had a clod in it that I couldn't get out even with turps, and then I poked around with a drill bit and I must have poked a hole in the valve so it went everywhere lol.

I would have clear coated it but my weed killer spray pack leaked and made te back a nasty yellow

Can't wait to get on to making the bass but that'll wait till I'm done with the teles, the purple one was just stuff to do inbetween coats for one of the teles

    Oh no... :wow:

Small scale bass is on my long wish list of things I want to build. List seems to just keep getting longer.

I've had issues with the charcoal, but since changed paints and it's turning out better each coat. Of course it's on one that I am making for someone else

And the bass was a brain fart, I measured about 20 times before routing for the j pickup and then it turns out I was out by nearly 4 inches lol oh well it's a prototype and it's for me. Hopefully the hammered charcoal will hide the boo boo

What's the go with the sideways photos? I shouldn't have to go I and edit each photo, especially since they were taken the right way around
