Killer track, the Rising album is one of my favourite Rainbow :thumb:

:dude: You just can't watch that concert enough times, love the line-up with Coverdale (afaik it was the first show he ever did with Deep Purple...) and Glenn Hughes.

Thanks Planks. Lets talk Rock and Roll! I saw Ritchie on the Perfect Strangers Tour. He was so electric and fluid(He is no Steve Jones though-just kiddin.)Ritchie deserves to be at the top of the English guitar gods list. IMO he is as good as Clapton, I prefer him more.Keep bringing the heroes Planks! Love your bearded Page avatar!

Cool, I saw the same tour :dude: So what city did you see them in...?

I saw Deep Purple live here (Copenhagen, Denmark) in 'Valby Hallen' in 1993, it still stands as one of the very best concerts I been to so far.

Ritchie was indeed at the top of his game that year, pouring out one magic playing after the other with no mercy! Other thing in the history of him & DP, it was to be one of the last shows he ever played with them - the final and last one was in Finland a few days later IIRC.

Some footage here from Copenhagen, Denmark, Valby Hallen November 1993.

DP live in Denmark 1972, one of my family saw this show and was very eager to tell some details about the whole thing, that's actually when my own interest in Deep Purple and Blackmore started, bought the 'In Rock' and 'Fireball' albums first and followed from there on.

I saw Deep at the Philadelphia Spectrum. We were lucky to see him on that tour. Great sound came off of that stage. Ritchie and Jon Killed w/ epic guitar and keys battles. We love Deep in Philly. I need to come over to your side of the pond someday. I'll look you up and we can go to a coffee house and talk rock:dude:

:thumb: Yea, they were all in top shape here too - Ian Paice's solo was fkin fantastic (and long :D), and Glover's tasty bass playing first class stuff - talk about a rhythm section!!

Ian and Glover are an "engine room." They get no respect. I was listening to Live Made inJapan the other night. Space Truckin and Speed King really smoked. Great bass and drums on those two:dude:
