looks great! But why not a proper gibson? I'm afraid of the chinese guitars. Ok it's come with EMG's but dunno. Hope it's gonna good!

Agreed that it should be a proper Gibson. But hey, he's no Grace Potter!

The Epiphone signature guitars are quite well made, actually. At least the ones I have played / owned. They cheap out on the lower line models, but the signatures usually get some attention.

If only they stopped dipping them in inch-thick poly finish.

EMG 57/66's are great pickups. Far superior to regular EMG's.

The Floyd Rose 1000 is welcome too. All Epis of of the past in recent memory have had Floyd Rose Specials iirc.

I appreciate them choosing a real Floyd Rose but that is Gibson money..

If they made it a real Gibson, the price would not be attainable for the working man. Simple as that.

They're really trying to bring in the metal crowd lately.

I like this one...probably not enough to buy one, but it looks like it could be some fun.

See, I think the price is pretty reasonable for all the decent hardware used, plus things like the ebony fretboard. No Richlite here!

You're not getting a Gibson with those specs for that money. So I don't see what the problem is.

I'm glad they're using a higher quality bridge. The price might be higher because of it, but that's perfectly fair. You get what you pay for.

Oh yeah, that Silverburst looks great on a V. In fact I don't even like Silverburst on a LP, but on a V its pretty awesome.

I've got a Chinese Ibanez that saw me selling off a Gibson Faded SG. It plays great, sounds good, and has better workmanship than I've seen on too many Gibbys.

Not my wheelhouse, but the guy is articulate and it is a well thought out truly signature guitar.
