    Hey guys

Bought a 1965 Gibson SG Special in a poor condition and restored it by myself
    Stripped the ugly finish
    Reshaped the bevels
    Fill Stoptail and Bridge holes
    Refinished it
    Aged it again.

    Edit: Some more pics below!

I was suprised as there were no breaks or cracks under the thick 80s hot rod finish.

Another vintage beauty brought back to live.:)

sry for the bad pics, i only got a crappy smartphone

    FIXED! Sooo much better!
Though needs a cream switch tip to totally accurate, those brown/butterscotch tips went bye bye in 1960. :D

I thought the first pictures were the restoration at first and it made me cringe a little bit :laugh2:

good to see another one brought back to its former glory.

So, are the bevels in the before pics stock or did someone sand them to look like that? I prefer the way yours look but was just wondering if the stock ones were dull(not as pointy) like that from the factory?

    Thx Guys.:thumb:
Yeah there were just badly sanded over.
So I reshaped them to look like new again.
First time I did that with the reshaping.
And im pretty happy with it.:)
    She plays great.
Very light and resonant but i have to get used to the narrow neck...
