I was checking out the other replicas here, so I figured I would post mine.
Very, very nice. Those look like the real deal.
Care to share any info? If not, that's cool....gotta protect them wood elves and their magic dust.
Those look amazing! The certainly look like the real deal -- sisters aged to perfection.
What plastic do you have on them?
I can't say who made it, but I can say they were built by someone who really knows his stuff and makes very desireable guitars, but he won't build replicas anymore though. Old woods, old celluloid for inlays, old dye for the bursts (that fade), hide glue, you know the drill. One is heavily aged and the other only mildly aged.
Most of the hardware at the time the pix were taken was old, though I have since taken the PAFs out and replaced them with Wolfetones since I had a couple vintage Gibsons that needed the PAFs. The Wolfes sound just about as good anyways. The pickguards were made by the luthier. The rings are old M8 gibsons, one has a 50's switch ring switch ring, the other has a late 60's. Old TRC's, knobs pots switch, etc.
Those are amazing.. Now that's the kind of replicas I would like to own. I've played some of the Japan made replicas and some were very nice but none of them looked like yours.
One of the best looking replica's I have seen.
Those look absolutely amazing
Wow! Those are absolutely gorgeous! When mine grow up, that's what they want to be!
This one is Available for sale & is the collaboration of 2 masters who are at the top of their game ( it sat on the shelf unfinished for years & as it was to be one's personal guitar & is old growth wood )
Lex, those are fantastic. Kudos to the photography, as well.
