From the muddy fields....
...................I missed this one.
Calm down Davey , perhaps you've been spoiled ....
I heard your last les Paul was sounding like a telecaster on statins .
That is so freaking funny.
Still mine, for now, at least until the Summer Philly show.
Yous are right i have been spoilt..once you get a italian lp theres now way back until you get another..
You're a young man young man ,keep emptying those northern bins and you will make it ..............unless somebody embalms uncle tezza in a vat of bacon fat until 2525 I may not make it
Uncle tezza will be the bionic man soon ali
I'm going to get him to re work my Jedson telecaster so it sounds like a les Paul with haemorrhoids
Reminded me I had a Jedson Telecaster bass once! Don't miss it!
I hope this is the right place for this. If not, apologies in advance.
A couple of years ago I finished a Precision LP kit for a customer in gold top with a natural back. Since then I've been lusting after a LP of my own but I'm not one to just buy a guitar. An opportunity presented itself to buy an unfinished import husk at a great price, so I jumped on it.
I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a gear snob. For my personal guitars it doesn't matter to me where parts are made or what they're made from as long as they go together correctly and the end product sounds and plays like it should.
That said, here's my first complete LP style build.
Hardware is metric, Epi spec stuff. Pickups are Donlis double cream PAF copies which I discovered in a thread here, with nickel silver covers added. Guts are CTS and Switchcraft, with Russian PIO caps.
It sounds like what I hear in my head and plays nice. That's all I require for myself.
These are my two replicas. The best guitars I've ever played without a doubt.
wow is the 2nd one uk built?
Nope, built in the US by a former member of this forum.
