Happened to come by this Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop 2012 Silverburst. I have a good feeling that it is real but I want to be 100% sure, thoughts?

Looks fine from the pics - in saying that though someone could spend enough time on a fake to make it appear to be a real Gibson to the unassuming buyer.

Very real. Looks like the pickups have been modded or changed. I don't think brushed nickel comes on any Gibsons stock. I've been wrong many times though.

Blatant fakes pass muster to the unassuming buyer.....that the point.

If you were to take a fake/chibson and do what is necessary to make it pass muster here it would require EVERY part of the guitar to be changed. In which case what you have there would be a luthier-made clone. In that case it would then be no exaggeration for it to be slumming if it were being compared to a Gibson.
