Hi everybody! Im new to the forum (as far as posting anyway). not to long ago was board and decided to dissect my 70's norlin that was routed out for some 70's Dimarzio's way back before i got the guitar, it now has 57 classics i installed myself in early 2000's. i reused the rings on the guitar not really thinking they could be something. Years later i am obsessed with 58-60 Les paul burst and have a few books and web site info on the guitars and parts.
So i was wondering if my research is correct and this could possibly be a 57-60 M69 ring? and if so what is it worth?
I hope these pics come through.

I see a couple things that make me suspicious. Best way to tell is to put it under a blacklight and see if it glows.

The pictures arent really clear enough - it 'could' be the real deal although the mould marks look a bit OTPG to me as others have mentioned. Need to see clearer more closeup pics.

Given the age the OP has mentioned, I'm going to 'cautiously' say, could be a real one.

Thank you all for the help! I'll try to find some time this weekend to take it off the guitar it is currently on and take some better pictures.

What are first edition OTPG? I have a black pup ring marked M69 that I bought around 79/80 with a dirty finger pup, can't remember if it came with the pup or I bought it separately from the shop. It would have been new though and a genuine part .

Why are the blacklight photo and the unblacklighted photo taken with different guitars?

Only DMCv2 glow, but not the right color. OTP rings don't glow.

I'd say it could very well be real, but a) the photos are a bit blurry, and b) I see some things which look weird. Of course, the pics are blurry so who knows. The blacklight is hard to argue with.

It's only fair that you now find a rightful home for that ring.
