Sure, here you are! I have replaced the Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge with a more manageable hot T-Top clone. I love it, it's my #1. It was a present from my cool aunt and my first electric.

Well I thought I was all alone on "Vintage" Island. Cant find anything on this brand other than the modern ones and this is not that. Anyone ever seen a strat? Well now you have.. Pretty well constructed, beautiful neck and sounds pretty good too.

I have tossed a few bids on these on Yahoo when I see em.
Nice to see one in better detail, they appear to be relabelled late 70s Matsumoku Greco's or something similar.
    Nice board on it.

Hmm Nice to get another opinion. From the headstock of my strat I thought all along it looked like a Greco with the words super sound.. And the fretboard is really nice.. The copycat headstock made me think late 70's early 80s because they wouldnt have gotten away with it much later than that..

If some one made 1 guitar but it was crap would it be rare???

I think the question of the OP needs clarifying here. A Rare Ferrari is way different than a rare Ford.

Are we talking about rare models from good manufacturers or just manufacturers that hardly made anything....making them rare?

    just a thought...

Rare brand, crap or not, rare is rare albeit not automatically coveted. Rare brands, so not even rare models, even thought thats interesting too.

As many know MIJ have many factories that made many brands, also same brand could be made by different factories.

That guitar is gorgeous! Love that plum color. The tree of life inlay matches my 1974/75 Electra SG exactly. Matsumoku looks to be the culprit ;)

Thanks, I'm really glad to have it. Plum? That must be my awful photo skills. It's actually more like a black walnut veneer. :thumb:

Yep, that Northen is very nice indeed! So, its MIJ, not Canadian? Maple leafs are all over, not least on maple trees so dont worry about that ;)

How many Northens? I never seen one before.

Thanks, I really like playing it, despite it being an anvil. It's definitely MIJ, and I haven't seen another Northern like mine. Another member posted up his Heerby and name and maple leaf aside, it was identical to mine. I've also seen maple neck SC's, P-Bass, Strat and Tele copies. Since they were made for the Canadian market, you wont likely see one, unless you come to visit Canada and bump into someone fortunate enough to own one. :thumb:
