    Hi.

I am covering many gerne of music. but almost emocore...

Iam concerning about two guitar -

LTD(bt ESP) EC 1000 VBK and PRE SE single cut (or maybe tremonti)

Both guitars have mahogany body and neck,

but EC1000 has fretboard is ebony on other hand prs se has rosewood.

And Ec1000's pickup is EMG 60/81, PRS SE's is just prs designed pickup.

In addition, EC1000 is 24 fret but PRE SE's 22 fret...

    and control's differenct....It's not important...

The price.... EC1000 is more expensive about $200~$300.

But if i buy prs se, I'll change the pickup... maybe duncan's (JB & 59)

so, the price diffence is meaningless

I think both guitar are good(not like high end guitars)

but i don't have enough money for two guitar.

    Please, give me any advice?

I don't know about the LTD, but I have a PRS SE Singlecut. I just don't get along with the neck on that guitar. It's a nice guitar, but everytime I pick it up, it's only a matter of time, usually mere minutes, before I put it back down frustrated. It sad too, because it's a nice guitar but I'll probably see it here shortly.

FWIW, I just bought and returned a ltd ec-1000. It looked ok, but didn't sound that good (mine had the SD jb & 59), and it felt cheap. It just felt junky - I was surprised because they seem so nice. I've also played the PRS SE in the store, and I can't deal with the neck. I don't even remember if I liked how it sounded b/c I couldn't get over the neck - very, very flat as I recall. I'd save my money, or buy a nice used SG. Hope that helps - good luck.
