This amp build is a first prototype for Stoof a musician friend touring with his band the Defibrillators.
It's based on a 68 Marshall SLP 1959. But with a lot of mods and improvements.

It has 2 channels controled by footswitch with independent Gain and Volume controls, and a gain boost also controlled by footswitch. Gain boost is a gain stage added to one of the two other channels, what makes it like a 4 channel amp. Also there a voicing three way toggle switch in front panel to switch from Normal, to Fat or Bright voicings. Going from a plexi sound, to EVH or :slash: sound. All together these give 12 sound possibilities. Here some pics. Audio and video demos soon:

The amp is called 'Chouchou Beleza' :D

    Sorry, no gut shots :)

    Soundclips:

Little demo of two channels + gain boost. Each sample is on a different voicing switch position. Clear sounds on channel 1, dirtier on channel 2, even higher with gain boost engaged.

Sounds good! The fat almost reminds me of having a rangemaster kicked on. Is that weird?

    What's a Rangemaster??! :wow:
    Just kidding. :)
It's a treble booster. Analogman makes one as the Beano Boost, and it gets very close to the Beano album, with good settings on the amp/guitar. (The pedal is only one knob....)
One of my favorite sounds is a good treble booster into a cranked up amp. Trust me..... That was a compliment! Lots of times, when I here someone call tone "fat", I immediately think of no treble, neck pup, mud and all that. Yours was nothing like that. Very alive sounding.
    What are the specs?

 Sorry, I'm not so much on pedals, so I don't know most of these little magic boxes.

The backstory on the treble booster is (in summary, if I can manage....) that a cranked up 60's Marshall is so mid-heavy that it rolls off the high frequencies and loses a bit of its brightness, even though the mids are clearly heard. The treble booster (TB) restores them, and also adds, intentionally or not, quite a bit of harmonic content and richness to each note. Iommi and Gibbons are both happy users of them, as is my Tone Master, Marc Ford.

    Thanks for the details:

I forgot to mention the guitars I used as I had one guitar that fits each amp voicing:

Normal voicing with this ESP Navigator Custom Shop 560 with Voodoo Peter Florence 59 humbuckers, low output PAF replicas
    [IMG]

On Bright channel I had this Orville by Gibson 59 reissue with A2Pro on bridge and Gibson Classic 57 on neck:

And on the fat channel, this MM Axis, that I got not so long ago, increadible guitar:

Here's another video showing Stoof testing and playing the amp:
Born to rock - Chouchou Beleza n Stoof (The Defibrillators) - YouTube
The first prototype of the Chouchou Beleza was finished on July 17th 2013. This first example was build to my friend Stoof, from the Defibrillators. On friday July 19th I went to Stoofophone deliver the amp to its owner. He tested, loved and aprooved this hand wired rock machine to use on Guitare en Scene Festival at St Julien the July 21th, with his band The Defibrillators. Robert Cray and Brian May also played on the same day at that festival.
