One cent short of $1800 for Axe-FX II XL+ and $1100 for AX8
Oh lord, I’m helpless
Bought one. We'll see how it does for me.
How are you planning on using it?
Just got a Axe FX II XL+. It's fu**ing amazing!
Welcome to the club my friend. and you are correct. The AXE is amazing and will soon make you forget about all other methods of amplifying your guitar. Don't forget to use that built in recording interface and post some clips.
It'll be here today.
I'll be the first to say that it would sound totally great through a XiTone powered wedge.
I'll be using studio monitors until I purchase a Friedman ASC. I prefer the look of a traditional guitar cab over a wedge type monitor.
XiTone has cab style systems and you won't have to worry about the HISS coming from the friedman.
The Friedman gets less than great reviews.
Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it.
I'm a simple man. Those modeling amps are cool, but I think I'd lose my mind trying to set it up. The less options, the better it is for me - makes it easier on my OCD!
Why is turning a dial and choosing what amp you want.. then playing that amp.. too much? The misconception that there is too much to do is.... well... a misconception.
It's a great piece of gear but it's not replacing my amplifiers. I didn't even read the directions and I figure out enough to get me going for the day. I just don't know how to look through effects or cabs.
If you want a remote lesson on the system I will even offer that to you... Oh, I forgot.. Most likely it will replace your amps.
Check out the Mission Engineering Io, it looks like a mini slant cab.
