    Agreed!

I'm one of those who cares almost exclusively about how well a guitar plays and feels in my left hand, and the tone I can get out of it. Of course, I'm concerned about build quality -- without it the guitar will fail both these tests. But "design details" that don't affect playability or tone are almost meaningless to me. So, my PRS SE has pretty much become my "#1".

...uh...I heard a few notes in the final seconds as they were killing the song...other than that, anyone could have danced around with the guitar as that synth player did everything during the song.

I skipped through the song a few times trying to find a part where there was some audible guitar but I couldn't let it play through - people who speak like they couldn't get through grade 6 just can't hold my attention...so, in fairness, I may have missed it.

And that's all that matters really, isn't it.:thumb:

Right now, I love my SE more so than I did with the head stock that IMO looked out of place on the guitar and looked more like some weapon or something.

You could have an eye out or something with that pointy bit:laugh2:

    I'll pass thanks.

    Taste is all subjective anyway.

    I have impeccable taste, I like Telecasters.

    And slab bodied Gibsons.:applause:

One day you'll look back on this moment and see that you could have taken the correct road.

Taste isn't all subjective - preference is subjective.
There are many people who prefer things that are in poor taste...the people of WalMart, Justin Bieber fans, etc.

Again, I gotta disagree. For my tastes, this is the most beautiful headstock I have seen. :dude:

I do like the PRS headstock design. Which, incidentally, is actually an old GIBSON headstock design from the 20s or 30s. Paul Smith asked Gibson for permission to use that shape and Gibson granted it.

    Truth.

That doesn't change how ugly the front of the headstock is though...and that was the topic wasn't it?

So...if we were talking about how cross-eyed some chick was, you'd pipe in with how you like the nape of her neck.

...and kick - and two - and three...here comes 'Lucky Star'...

...and by the way...that braz neck IS ugly going into the blue body. They should have left the entire back bare along with the sides.

There's really no way to "resolve" the discussion of whether the PRS headstock is ugly or pretty, because it is a matter of individual preference. All that can be said is that those who think it is so ugly they could never bond with the guitar can just vote with their wallets and simply NOT BUY a PRS. Nobody likes to see a player buy a guitar with which he would be eternally unhappy. Those who feel that the headstock is attractive (or at least acceptable) can try one out to see if it otherwise "fits" them.

Well pics don't tell an accurate story all the time. The guitar with the figured rosewood neck and headstock might be beautiful in person as far as the grain and color are concerned -- though some will not like the headstock shape.

But the real issues are "how does that baby play?", and how does it sound?"

Nice to get back on track. Here is one of them:

And here is the other: (Done as a joke. NOT my style. You can hear jazz playing in the background, which IS my style.)

Here is a clip of my production PRS. My favorite tone of the bunch.
