price check on a small-guard 1966 SG Standard?

    Seeking some guidance on an accurate value for this one. Thanks in advance!

    In considering potential value, you will notice the small pickguard (with 7 screws), and the long heel design. These features were unique to 1966 - definitely a transitional period, shortly before the change to the large (batwing style) pickguard. Narrow nut width, and I would probably assume pre-T-Top patent sticker humbuckers (obviously with chrome covers).

    This did not sell on ebay. There were enough doubts that no one bid. However, SG prices seem to be going up from what I can see at Rumbleseat. Just accept that no SG is perfect, and whatever you get will be a compromise in some respect. I learned to bite the bullet, and live with what you finally do purchase. If the price is low enough, just remove whatever crazy trem system it might have, and put a stop tail in its place.
