A very nice one from our era Cookie brother, me likey likey a bunch.
Is a "WIP" (work-in-progress) tele allowed in this thread?
Here's one that is presently on Roman Rist's workbench that I quite simply am in love with so far.
It's too bad that I have some Rists 'in the works', or I think I'd jump all over this one. Someone will snap this one up soon I believe, and end up with one beautiful tele.
My Teles and a couple of G&L ASAT's on top.
...Damn dude, you quite a collection.
Here's my 03 Highway 1. I put SN3 pickups in it and an RS vintage kit. For a $400 guitar this thing kicks ass. I play this one more than my LP standard.
Here are a few of my Teles.
#1 sitting in the living room, waiting.
So Bob, you're saying you paid $400.00 for your Tele? If so, good job!
It looks shiny in the pic. Did you polish her up? Looks awesome by the way!
Great axe Bob, I've got the same one. It's on the far right in my pics above. Paid the exact same price for it. We did good! Someone had simply put the black pickguard on mine. Cool guitars.
Bud, No I didn't polish it. It has that dull HW1 finish, it just looks shinny.
Scott, Thanks. You have some guitars yourself. Do I see a Buck Owens Tele in the mix? If so, very Cool.
I had an old fender blues deluxe amp that I wasn't using, so I put it on craigslist for trade for an American Tele. After a few weeks I forgot about the ad, and some dude emails me with the Tele. We did a straight across trade. I had picked up the amp for $400.00. (on craigslist)
According the previous owner, it belonged to a working musician, which I believe because it has obviously been played and it is nicely worn. Eventually I want to put brass saddles on it.
Thanks to Mattyboy for resurrecting this thread. Great looking Tele's here.
Some very fine looking Tele's brothers.
My new CV 50's
Telechamp - Great pics of great-looking guitar. What does it play like? I had the CV Strat but it got nicked. I may well purchase another CV, and was think of going Tele!!!
Thanks, man. I really love this CV 50's Squier tele! Sorry to hear about your CV strat - those are nice, also - I played one of those CV strats not long ago in GC..
I also have a USA Standard tele and this CV 50's tele pretty much holds its own to that one.. A very well-built guitar.
It plays great. I had it set up and put 10's on, and after that was done, it's really fantastic. I love the neck on this guitar. The stock pickups really have that tele tone - especially the bridge. I would never think of swapping out the pups on this CV..
You can't go wrong by getting one of these CV 50's teles! I would think about putting 10's on it though, as that really seems to open it up ~
here is mine ... put it together yesterday ...
Got it yesterday afternoon, $400 out the door.
Posted before, but got her to sit for a glamor shot:
I like your shit too! Especially the you know what and you know what I'm talking about!!!!!
Moved some photos around in my Photobucket account, so the pics in my last post disappeared. Here's one of them again, a G&L ASAT Tribute:
