My 2007 Custom
Beautiful SG GOTW, welcome to the club!
The SG has quickly became my favorite guitar. I love how they're so light and compact, perfect for picking when laying on the couch. Used to not bond with the neck but now I get "it", easy access to every note across the fret board. I like variety but lately I've had SG fever.
OMG that's SMOKING! That's exactly how I want my next SG to look.
Great SG Special,
@Have FUN what year is your special? Cool looking pickups/rings.
@ Roxy13 My SG Special was made in 2004, the body is heavy, neck profile is 60' s slim taper, perfect for me.
I installed a set Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1 with open covers, Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1 very good PAF HBs, nice mahocany
I love 'em both:
My new addition
This is my 2017 Faded-it was used by gibson as a photo model for print and online ads-was super stoked to get it.

Just got this 2017 SG Faded Friday.. other than the electrical buzzing that's going on, this is an awesome guitar. PCB to be replaced soon!
here is my '68 special next to a 2014 husk that I bought, and eventually became a pretty cool guitar in its own right. but the 68 is my baby

My SG Standard Ltd Edition ebony board
I just registered, and I figure posting some pics of my guitars would be a good start. I have been an SG guy for many years, and these are the ones currently in my possession:
My first one, a 1975 Gibson SG II. Looks battered, but I have lots of fond memories playing it. It was my main guitar for many years:
A 2014 Gibson Derek Trucks Signature SG with a pickguard added. This has been my main guitar the last few years, but right now I'm using it for slide playing.
A 2013 Gibson SG Future Tribute. I put this one together from a husk. Used parts from various places. It is set up for slide.
2008 Gibson SG Faded Special. Modded with a new pickguard, Vibrola, new pups, TRC and knobs, this has been my "experimantal" guitar, that I have used for practicing soldering etc. I like tinkering with my guitars, not because I necessarily believe I can make things a lot better, but simply because I like doing it and love trying to fine tune things to my personal liking.
Epiphone SG Special '61 Reissue 50th Anniversary. I keep this one at work, where my band practices. It is completely stock and used for slide at band practice. My main amp setup behind it is a Vox AC30C2 with a 4x12 extension cabinet. The guitars to the left are the SG II and an Epiphone Dot with a pair of Seymour Duncan Phat Cats in it. That one is currently on loan to a co-worker.
Great stuff you have!
This 5 ply wide bevel pickguard is great, this upgrade change the life !
